After graduating from Brian Utting School of Massage in Seattle, Alison (formally Alison Hanks) went to the mountains of North Central Washington to start her private practice. She helps clients recover from injuries, enhance athletic performance, and lead more pain-free, active lives. Enamored with anatomy and exercise science, she delves into the subject, always looking for new approaches, modalities, and research to share.

In addition to her Washington State Massage License, Alison is a professional member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, nationally certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, RRCA certified running coach, and a NSCA certified personal trainer.

When not seeing clients, she spends her time taking continuing education classes, hosting retreats through her business Cascade Endurance, and is an endurance coach at Uphill Athlete.

Alison has been an competitive ultrarunner for the past thirteen years, and coach for ten years. Her holistic approach to wellness combines her keen eye for how the body moves, her knowledge and enthusiasm of anatomy and physiology, and her vast running experience. She can be seen trail running for hours on end with her husband Sam, their two daughters, and two Huskies in the nearby Cascades.
